Jennifer grew up in North Alton and always had a soft spot for all animals. As a child she spent endless hours on her grandparent’s farm earning trust and coaxing mother barn cats and their litters out of their hiding places and into a box to be carted into the farmhouse.
As a military child, Denise grew up primarily in Ontario and moved to Nova Scotia when she was in high school. At age 11, after trying to give mouth-to-mouth to her pet turtle who drowned after flipping over in his bowl, it dawned on her that she wanted to work with animals as a career.
Rebecca grew up in the Canning/Habitant area and moved to Centreville in 2006. She graduated from NSCC Kingstec in 2011 with a certificate in Medical Office Administration and with a lifelong love of animals and an interest in this field of work, joined the team at Cornwallis Vets in 2011 as a receptionist.
Megan grew up in Coldbrook and attended Central Kings Rural High School prior to completing her post-secondary education in Office Administration at NSCC, Kingetec campus. Megan has always had a strong love for animals and with her background in office administration and reception from a previous position, joining the team at Cornwallis Vets was a perfect fit!
Aoife was born in Cornwall England but spent most of her life in BC when her family moved to Canada in 2008 . She completed her 12th grade of high school after moving to Nova Scotia in 2022, and has been a student at St. Mary’s University working towards a BSc (biology) over the past year.
Grace is a 4th year OVC Veterinary student completing an 8 week externship with Cornwallis Vets during the summer of 2025. She grew up in the Greater Toronto area and currently resides in Guelph where graduated in 2022 with her BSc in Animal Biology and is currently completing her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Ontario Veterinary College. She chose veterinary medicine as a career path because she loves the ability to work with both people and their animals, as well as the diversity of career options that a DVM offers.
During summer breaks, Grace has been employed with Search and Rescue with the Canadian Coast Guard, as well as the ICU at the Veterinary College and at an Emergency Veterinary hospital.
She owns a 15 year old American Eskimo named “Prince”.
When not working or studying, Grace enjoys outdoor activities like hiking & camping, and has recently taken up pottery!
