Dr. Hamblin grew up in Ontario, graduating from the University of Guelph with her BSc (Agr) ’78 and DVM ’82. She moved to Nova Scotia in 1984, joining Cornwallis Vets as an associate Veterinarian.
Jennifer grew up in North Alton and always had a soft spot for all animals. As a child she spent endless hours on her grandparent’s farm earning trust and coaxing mother barn cats and their litters out of their hiding places and into a box to be carted into the farmhouse.
As a military child, Denise grew up primarily in Ontario and moved to Nova Scotia when she was in high school. At age 11, after trying to give mouth-to-mouth to her pet turtle who drowned after flipping over in his bowl, it dawned on her that she wanted to work with animals as a career.
Rebecca grew up in the Canning/Habitant area and moved to Centreville in 2006. She graduated from NSCC Kingstec in 2011 with a certificate in Medical Office Administration and with a lifelong love of animals and an interest in this field of work, joined the team at Cornwallis Vets in 2011 as a receptionist.
Megan grew up in Coldbrook and attended Central Kings Rural High School prior to completing her post-secondary education in Office Administration at NSCC, Kingetec campus. Megan has always had a strong love for animals and with her background in office administration and reception from a previous position, joining the team at Cornwallis Vets was a perfect fit!
Aoife was born in Cornwall England but spent most of her life in BC when her family moved to Canada in 2008 . She completed her 12th grade of high school after moving to Nova Scotia in 2022, and has been a student at St. Mary’s University working towards a BSc (biology) over the past year.
Emma grew up in East Hants, NS and now calls Shortts Lake home. She comes from a family of veterinarians, her father and uncle are both small animal vets, and her Grandfather was an equine vet. She completed the Pre-Veterinary Program at Dal AC and is now going into her third year at the Atlantic Veterinary College on PEI.
Grace was born in Avonport but spent most of her childhood in Labrador before moving back to Gaspereau. She chose veterinary medicine as a career path because she has loved animals from a young age and has had an interest in veterinary medicine for as long as she can remember.
