Dr. Kristen Pyke grew up in South Shore PEI on the beach!  She always loved working with animals, especially horses, and with an interest in medicine as well, she decided this was a good way to combine the two!

Dr. Pyke received her undergraduate degree from Dalhousie Agricultural Campus and then graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2020.  After graduation, she completed a 1 year internship in Langley, BC in equine medicine before returning to the Maritimes where she practiced as an equine vet in central and eastern Nova Scotia before joining Cornwallis Veterinarians in 2024.

She currently resides in Wolfville, NS and has 2 dogs, Bo & Daisy, and 3 horses, Demi, Sky and Comet.

Dr. Pyke likes to spend her free days in the summer barrel racing with her horses, she enjoys skiing in the winter and loves any time she can spend with her family in PEI.  In her work, she has a special interest in performance horse medicine and lameness.
