Grace was born in Avonport but spent most of her childhood in Labrador before moving back to Gaspereau.She chose veterinary medicine as a career path because she understands the difficulty of seeing a pet sick or in pain and has always felt a sense of relief when a veterinarian can help, prevent or provide treatment in these situations.  She loves helping pet parents and their animals!

After completing her BSc in biology at Acadia University, she started (and recently completed) her first year of the DVM program at AVC at UPEI.  Before being accepted to AVC, Grace spent many years volunteering and working in various clinics in the area, and during school has a part time student worker job in the AVC Large Animal Hospital.

She owns 2 horses; Jewel (appendix quarter horse) and Joey (Dutch warmblood).  When not working or studying, Grace enjoys showjumping, baking, reading and hiking.
