Large Animal Ultrasound

Ultrasound uses sound waves to visualize organs and structures within the body. In large animal medicine ultrasound is used very often to determine if an animal is pregnant or not. In cattle we can determine pregnancy as early as 28 days, and in horses at just 14 days! We are also able to ultrasound sheep and goats for pregnancy.

Ultrasound is used in large animal medicine to examine abnormalities in the internal organs, including lungs, liver, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract and the urinary tract.

We have 4 different portable ultrasounds to meet the needs of our large animal patients.
