Laurie grew up on a dairy farm in Stayner, Ontario and got her first experience with a veterinary clinic as a high school co-op student in Paisley Ontario. She furthered her education and received her diploma as an electrical engineering technician in computers at Confederation College and worked at Staples before joining the team at Cornwallis Vets in 2013 as a client care specialist. The joy that animals bring Laurie is apparent in both her work and her furry family which include Moose, her 4 year old cat that was brought into the clinic as a stray, Gracie her 8 year old Bernese X and Bálor, the newest family member, a very lazy, lemon of a Chow Chow puppy who is very loved despite being problematic! Laurie currently resides in Aylesford with her partner and their daughter and in her spare time enjoys geocaching, reading and video games.
