Dr. Katherine Lahey grew up in Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia and was strongly influenced to explore veterinary medicine as a career path through her Father and Grandfather who were involved in agriculture and farming.She received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture with a Major in Animal Science from Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture and then on to receive her DVM from the Atlantic Veterinary College. During school, Dr. Lahey has gained experience in this field through her work at the Kensington Veterinary Clinic as well as the Atlantic Poultry Research Centre at Dal AC during her undergrad, not to mention various other agricultural related jobs on dairy farms and poultry processing facilities.
Dr. Lahey currently resides in Coldbrook with her partner, Cody and her 6year old Newfoundland Dog named Freyja. During her downtime she enjoys relaxing with a book, walking her dog and cooking.
