Dr. Karell Hebert grew up in Bathurst, New Brunswick. She decided to become a Vet because she wanted to give back to the countless producers who work tirelessly to produce safe, healthy food and support their communities.
She received her Pre-vet diploma from Université- Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia, followed by her Bachelor of Agriculture with honours in Animal Science from Dalhousie Agricultural campus in Truro. In 2022 she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Atlantic Veterinary College on PEI.
When she wasn’t in school, Dr. Hebert spent her summers working at Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick and as a hired farm hand at a local dairy farm in Sussex, NB.
Dr. Hebert currently resides in Kentville with her adopted, retired teaching beagle from AVC, and she also owns a 10 year old warmblood Arab X horse.
In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, hiking and photography.
