Katelynn grew up on a hobby farm in Nicholsville where she always enjoyed being around animals and being able to help them in any way possible. It seemed natural for her to further her education to help those she’s passionate about.
She’s an avid learner with a fervent interest in developing her skills and enjoys being able to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of those who can’t speak for themselves. She worked at a horse stable throughout high school before she decided to attend Oulton College where she went on to receive her Diploma in the Veterinary Technician Program, graduating at the top of her class. Katelynn has worked full time as an RVT at Cornwallis Veterinarians since 2009. She has a special interest in equine medicine, anesthesia/surgery, cytology and low stress handling for patients. Katelynn currently resides in Gaspereau with her husband Branden, 2 Border collies (Foxy & Honey), 2 cats (Tommy & Boots) 2 horses (Elle & Pharoah) and several chickens. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her time hiking with her dogs, gardening, cooking, horseback riding, and spending time with family and friends.
