Jennifer grew up in North Alton and always had a soft spot for all animals. As a child she spent endless hours on her grandparent’s farm earning trust and coaxing mother barn cats and their litters out of their hiding places and into a box to be carted into the farmhouse.
She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 1994 and began a 20+ year career in sales, marketing, and management with local food producers and for a 5 year period also owned and operated the Rose Button Uniform Shop. Although her career path was not one of Veterinary Medicine, she was happy to have found a way to work with animals when she joined Cornwallis Vets in 2017. Jennifer currently lives on the family orchard in Grafton with her husband and 2 daughters along with an assortment of rescued & stray pets including 3 cats: “Daisy” found in a neighbors barn, “Olive” found in a neighbor’s tree and “Leo” who showed up during a snowstorm; “Griffin” the bunny- a high spirited black Netherland dwarf x Rex mix, and their newest addition “Juno” a 3year old husky cross who can go from lazy to 100 km/h in a split second!!! In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, cooking and baking, painting & yoga.
