Dr. Laura Wilson, DVM, CVL Partner

Dr. Wilson grew up in Sackville, New Brunswick, where she gained her love for all animals big and small. She attributes her interest in medicine to her grandfather who, for many years, was a family practice doctor in rural New Brunswick. She decided that she wanted to be a veterinarian while working at a wildlife rehabilitation centre as a summer student in high school. Her passion for food animals began when she was working on a dairy farm while at Acadia University.
Laura graduated from Tantramar Regional High School in 2009, and then attended Acadia University where she studied Biology and Chemistry. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in May of 2016 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and became a partner at Cornwallis Veterinarians in October, 2018. Dr. Wilson’s veterinary interests are: dairy cattle herd health, poultry medicine and small ruminant medicine. Laura’s significant other, Christopher Andrews, is an aircraft mechanic. Laura and Chris along with their dogs Rory and Wally are thrilled to be back in the beautiful Annapolis Valley. Laura’s hobbies include: swimming, playing with her dogs, and gardening.
