Veterinary Technicians

Veterinary Technicians have many duties.  You may meet a Technician when

you bring your pet in for an exam, as often the doctor will request their

assistance, or you may speak with a Technician at the front reception desk

as they provide educational information to our clients.  The majority of their

work takes place in our treatment room, operating room, laboratory and

offering care to our day patients.

If your pet requires surgery you will meet one of our technicians early in the morning of surgery day.  They will inform you of the day’s procedures and what to expect after surgery.  They can answer your questions and address your concerns.  A Technician will assist the Veterinarian during the surgical procedure and continue to monitor your pet post surgery.  They will meet the medical needs of your pet by providing a comfortable bed, proper nutrition and medication as needed. But their love and affection for pets shines through when we see them offering loving pats and words of encouragement while watching over your pet.  Technicians are also responsible for diagnostic procedures performed in our in-house laboratory including blood work, urinalysis and fecal analysis. Our Veterinary Technicians take great pride in their quality of work and the care they provide your pet.  You and your pets are their top priority.
