Grooming

Grooming is an important part of dog care. All Breeds require some

degree of grooming, how much depends on the breed, age, or health

of the pet. Regular grooming helps to ensure the dog is healthy and

comfortable.

Lynn Pulsifer has been grooming dogs at Cornwallis Veterinarians Ltd since 1995.  Lynn studied Animal Science Technology and Directed Studies Technology at the Nova Scotia Agriculture College then took specific training at Brenda’s School of Grooming in Moncton, NB. When Lynn grooms dogs she bathes the dog with a soothing oatmeat based shampoo, brushes out the undercoat, trims the dog’s nails and cuts the fur to a style that suits the breed with input from the owner.  Because we are a hospital setting we do require all dogs coming in to see Lynn to be up to date on their vaccinations.  This protects your dog and the dogs that are in the hospital. You may see Lynn at dog shows as she has been breeding and showing Bull Terrier’s since 1993.
